The DZOFILM Arles Zoom 25-75mm T2.6 is a full-frame parfocal cinema zoom lens, designed to cover an image circle of 43.2 mm.
It covers the 25-75mm range with a 3x zoom ratio and a constant T2.6 aperture, with no exposure shift during zooming. Its minimum focusing distance is 0.51m. The lens is not intended for VistaVision or larger formats, where edge vignetting may occur depending on the focal length.
The optical formula comprises 22 elements in 8 groups, with ED and HRI lenses to minimize chromatic and spherical aberrations. Focus breathing is virtually nonexistent at 25mm and remains well controlled at 50mm and 75mm. Barrel distortion remains controlled at the tested focal lengths, facilitating consistent correction in post-production.
Mechanically, it uses the Arles Prime interface: 95mm front diameter, M86 thread, 0.8 MOD rings, 270° focus throw, 100° zoom, and a 79° 16-blade diaphragm. It weighs 1,767g and measures 178mm in PL mode.
