Designed for their Sherpa Series cases, the True Color Variable ND 1-5 Stop Filter (Mist Edition) from Freewell adds misty diffusion to its VND filter, which helps reduce sharpness for a more cinematic look. Aside from that the VND filter provides a 1- to 5-stop reduction in exposure, allowing the use of wider aperture settings for shallow depth of field or slower shutter speeds for motion blur. The variable exposure control is set using a filter ring and, thanks to True Color technology, this filter renders accurate color. It is also dustproof, scratch resistant, and oilproof.
